With a balance between so many elements, the moods vary greatly, always intriguing and suggesting far more than meets the ear. Sleeping on the Edge of the World has symphonic qualities: the listener passes through a constantly evolving landscape, or nightscape, of mood and colour, underscored by an almost ubiquitous mood of reconciliation in which all emotional elements are carefully measured and no one overwhelms.

Xenomorph’s are people too: David is a huge fan of the “Alien” film series, and repeatedly watching “Alien 3” while working on this record obviously invaded his subconscious...please forgive him. Moon Dreaming Thunder : An early version of this track appeared as the main title theme for the film “Black Dawn” starring Lorenzo Lamas. This was David’s first complete score for a feature film. Sticks and Stones : David’s piece “Sticks and Stones” inspired an amazing music video created by Bill Francis...draping the very mournful sound of this track with stunning, icy visuals of deep winter. chasing bigness : In an often mindless, drive for expressing the biggest of intangible ideas, David could never quite get things to sound big enough. This translates as an epic sound much different than the first record.
